The Shipping Specialist is responsible for staging and palletizing materials for shipment, loading and unloading trailers, maintaining inventory records, and verifying quantities of materials received against shipping documents.

• Pick items for orders and complete shipping documents as needed
• Load and unload trailers as they arrive at the facility
• Stage materials and pallets for shipments
• Inspect product as it arrives and report any problems to Quality
• Anticipate and support company needs including staging work in advance when possible to reduce downtime
• Maintain warehouse, keeping material neat and accessible and inventory accurate
• Support 6S efforts, removing trash and recyclables as necessary
• Participate in idea implementation initiatives with team
• Maintain high level of safety at all times

• Team player with the ability to maintain good working relations with internal teams

• Strong computer skills
• Experience with IFS ERP system is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fork truck operators license, permit or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities are shifting regularly

• Able to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hrs. per day
• Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb or reach frequently throughout the day
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
