Development Officer – Maine Golf

Ready to make a statewide impact through fundraising and community engagement? Pro Search is partnering with Maine Golf to hire a Development Officer who will lead the organization’s first comprehensive annual giving and development program. This is a unique opportunity to help grow access to golf for youth, communities, and players across Maine.

Maine Golf is the statewide governing body dedicated to growing and sustaining the game for players of all ages. Through tournaments, junior golf programs, scholarships, and community initiatives, the organization supports a more inclusive and accessible future for golf in Maine.

As the Development Officer, you’ll design and lead Maine Golf’s fundraising strategy, including annual giving, donor relations, corporate partnerships, community campaigns, and special events. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and Board to build a strong philanthropic foundation supporting scholarships, youth access, and community programming.

• Build and manage a comprehensive annual giving program
• Cultivate and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors
• Lead campaigns: annual giving, giving Tuesday, event sponsor ships, grassroots club events, and golf marathons
• Plan signature fundraising events and donor engagement experiences
• Launch and grow the Ambassador’s Club giving society
• Manage donor data and reporting (Donor Perfect)
• Collaborate on fundraising communications and digital outreach

• 3+ years in nonprofit fundraising (annual giving, donor relations, corporate/foundation support, or events)
• Proven success meeting fundraising goals
• Strong communication, stewardship, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with Donor Perfect or similar CRM
• Interest in golf or familiarity with Maine’s nonprofit community is a plus
• Hybrid role based in Freeport, ME
• Statewide travel for donor meetings and events
