The Dixfield Common Baptist Church is seeking a full-time pastor as our current pastor is retiring. We are a small church committed to growth and seeking a proactive and enthusiastic leader. We operate a food pantry that serves community residents three times a week. The position includes a parsonage and health insurance.

• Jesus died on the cross, rose again on the third day, and is the sole path to salvation and eternal life.

• Dixfield is a close-knit community known for its stunning fall foliage, conveniently located about an hour from major cities like Auburn and Augusta.

• Provide visionary and spiritual leadership to the congregation.
• Report to the Elders and Deacons board who represent the congregation.
• Fulfill pulpit ministries, including preaching and teaching on Sundays and during special worship services.
• Oversee small groups and provide pastoral care for the church and community.
• 5 weeks paid vactions.

Expectations for the Pastor:

• Engage with the community, including door-to-door invitations to church.
• Organize and oversee Sunday morning services such as Sunday school, Sunday morning service and a small prayer meeting on Wednesdays evenings.
• No Sevces on Sunday evenings.
• Assist with running the food pantry.
