LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse (Yarmouth, ME)

Join Benchmark Senior Living as an LPN at Bay Square at Yarmouth, a grand seaside inn neighboring the Royal River. Full‑time days (6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) or evenings (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.).

LPN salary: $32‑$36 /hr + shift differentials.
RN salary (optional): $37‑$41 /hr + shift differentials.

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case‑management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and report to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system calls, knowing when to call for backup.

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.
