Registered Nurse – SCU / Telemetry (Nights)

Damariscotta, ME | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down / Intermediate Care Unit serving SCU, IMC, and med-surg patients within a community access hospital setting
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients; unit does not routinely manage vented patients but equipment including ventilators is available
• Operate and manage equipment including plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, SCD boots, and ceiling lifts
• Administer and monitor vasoactive drips as needed
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float occasionally to the medical-surgical unit as needed; work every other weekend at minimum

• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including prior travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry or med-surg/telemetry in a larger organization
• Proficiency with vasoactive drips and ventilator management
• Ability to work night shifts (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM) and every other weekend at minimum
• Expected 36 hours per week

• ICU or SCU/IMC background preferred
• Experience in a community or critical access hospital environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR

• Work in a collaborative, community-focused intermediate care environment with a manageable patient ratio of 1:1 to 4:1 on an 8-bed unit
• No call requirements during core hours, offering a more predictable and balanced travel assignment
