Overview

Earn up to $21.50 per hour. As a Level 2 Cook you will execute most kitchen duties for both restaurants and banquets during any meal period, with limited supervision from a kitchen supervisor and/or Chef. You will work on your feet, use your hands, and collaborate as part of a team. Day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts are available; full‑time year‑round and seasonal positions are also offered.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing menu items in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards after each task.
  • Identifying fruits, vegetables, herbs, and kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Working well as part of a team under pressure and without distraction.
  • Preparing foods according to the recipe and kitchen standards.
  • Handling kitchen cutlery efficiently and safely.
  • Covering, labeling, dating and storing food items properly.
  • Using sound culinary principles routinely.
  • Identifying meats and fish and applying the proper prep for each.
  • Preparing menu items with consistent results, efficiency and ease.
  • Reducing waste in food prep.
  • Understanding proper food storage, nutrition, portion control and food costs.
  • Supervising others, when required.
Qualifications
  • Two‑year culinary or hospitality degree, or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 2‑4 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Wages range from $19
    $21.50 per hour, depending on experience.
