Flynn Group, the largest Applebee’s franchisee, operates over 460 Applebee’s restaurants. The Assistant Manager will be engaged in all aspects of day‑to‑day operations, ensuring guests and staff are passionate about their experience every day.

As an Applebee’s Assistant Manager, you will lead the team, solve problems, manage stress, and maintain high standards of service and operations.

• Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.
• Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs.
• Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints.
• Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards.
• Maintains departmental inventory levels.
• Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks.
• Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.
• Maintains effective safety and security programs.
• Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates.
• Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.
• Helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems.
• Participates in constant development of employees using One‑on‑One and performance documentation, and contributes to completing written evaluations.
• Assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously works with employees on their areas of development.
• Monitors employee performance and documents situations that require disciplinary or corrective action.
• Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
• Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department.
• Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Drives bi‑weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories as requested, and is accountable for completion.
• Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
• Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Provides a role model for managers and employees.
• Develops proficiency in all store related technology.
• Must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed (cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.).
• Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.

• At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (also a plus).

• Work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends.
• Stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length.
• Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
• Read and write to facilitate communication.
• Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
