Food & Beverage Cashier

Job Description: Overview Pleasant Mountain is hiring cashiers to deliver exceptional service to our day lodge customers! Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Cashiers meet, greet, and converse with guests and provide them with outstanding customer service. Cashiers are responsible for correctly identifying items for purchase in the POS system and receiving payment from the guests.

Shifts include weekdays, weekends, and holidays with more time being needed during periods of extremely heavy business (including holiday and vacation weeks).

Responsibilities

• Receive credit cards, resort charge cards, and gift cards as payment during guest transactions
• Accurately process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
• Operate the cash register and ensure correct pricing.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash register, counter, and dining area.
• Restock and organize inventory as needed.
• Complete opening and closing shift duties, and side work assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
• Immediately communicate with the Manager regarding any guest concerns or complaints.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Restock and organize inventory as needed.
• Communicate to Manager maintenance and repairs as needed for FOH to be presentable and in working order for all guests.
• Must be physically able to spend the majority of the workday on their feet and be able to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is an asset.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
