About the OrganizationLincoln Hospital (LH) is a full-service healthcare system that includes two hospital campuses:
Lincoln Hospital – Miles Campus in Damariscotta and Lincoln Hospital – St. Andrews Campus in Boothbay Harbor
. The system also operates two long‑term care facilities, retirement communities in Boothbay Harbor and Damariscotta, and a 40‑member multi‑specialty physician practice. With more than 1,000 full‑time and part‑time employees, LH is Lincoln County’s largest employer, focused on providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
This full‑time position (40 hours per week) runs day shifts and reports to the Senior Operations Leader. The Manager – Security Services will provide leadership for all security operations across the hospital campuses and associated off‑site locations.
Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day security operations, ensuring the safety of premises, property, employees, patients, and visitors.
- Assist the Senior Operations Leader in developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies, procedures, and programs.
- Collaborate closely with Behavioral Threat Analysis & Management (BTAM) initiatives and manage workplace violence incidents.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor while exercising sound judgment in high‑pressure situations, employing de‑escalation skills to reduce violence.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- License/
Certifications:
IAHSS Basic certification within six months of hire; IAHSS Supervisory and Safety certificates within one year; valid driver’s license; BLS required; MOAB instructor recommended. - Experience: Minimum five years of experience in the healthcare security industry and in security management practices.
- Analytical & Communication: Ability to think forward, solve problems, and produce professional reports using metrics with hospital software systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with governing codes, regulations, best practices, standards, and guidelines for the healthcare security industry.
