Summary

This full‑time position (40 hours per week) runs day shifts and reports to the Senior Operations Leader. The Manager – Security Services will provide leadership for all security operations across the hospital campuses and associated off‑site locations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day security operations, ensuring the safety of premises, property, employees, patients, and visitors.
  • Assist the Senior Operations Leader in developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Collaborate closely with Behavioral Threat Analysis & Management (BTAM) initiatives and manage workplace violence incidents.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor while exercising sound judgment in high‑pressure situations, employing de‑escalation skills to reduce violence.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    IAHSS Basic certification within six months of hire; IAHSS Supervisory and Safety certificates within one year; valid driver’s license; BLS required; MOAB instructor recommended.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience in the healthcare security industry and in security management practices.
  • Analytical & Communication: Ability to think forward, solve problems, and produce professional reports using metrics with hospital software systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with governing codes, regulations, best practices, standards, and guidelines for the healthcare security industry.
