Position Summary:

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. The role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team, using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and a variety of hand, digital, and power tools.

$26.00/hr – $51.00/hr (actual rate based on skills, experience and local regulations)

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety and equipment training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 lbs, navigate ladders, and work safely at heights.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report.
• Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s in A/C & refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
