District Social Worker
MSAD 41 has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Social Worker (LPC, LCPC, or LCSW preferred) to work for our district. Responsibilities include providing school‑based counseling and social skills training to students across the district, with a focus on elementary grades. The applicant must promote trauma‑sensitive practices among staff and aid in conflict mediation and de‑escalation training. Duties include working with students, staff, families, and designated agencies to coordinate needed support and services to help students that are having issues that create a negative impact on their learning.
The ability to work collaboratively with the administrative team and other staff, demonstrating a growth mindset and problem‑solving mindset, is critical.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for appropriate licensure and CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education. Prior experience working with students is preferred.
