Social Worker in South Paris, ME

Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting pre-K through 6th-grade students in a dynamic educational setting near Harrison, ME. This role focuses on offering direct, impactful mental health and counseling services to a small caseload, providing essential support both within and outside of special education. In close collaboration with educators and multidisciplinary teams, you will also play a key role in IEP coordination without the demands of an itinerant schedule.

• Active Maine Educator Certification
• Current Maine clinical license (LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, or LCPC-c)
• Previous experience as a school social worker, counselor, or clinical therapist with children and adolescents
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities
• Understanding of special education processes and the development/implementation of IEPs

• Deliver individual and small group counseling and social work services to students, addressing both general education and special education needs
• Serve a caseload currently averaging 56 students weekly, with opportunities to support additional students beyond special education
• Actively participate in team meetings, including IEP planning, to ensure comprehensive student support
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student well-being and foster positive school environments
• Maintain detailed records and documentation aligned with school and state requirements

This contract opportunity follows a Monday through Friday schedule with 35 hours per week, running from the start date through June 10, making it ideal for professionals seeking immediate impact within a supportive learning community.
