Youth Athletic Coach

The dates run from June 16th to August 13th, 2026. The salary range is $3000.00 - $4250.00 for the contracted summer season. All food, lodging, and laundry is covered; and all travel expenses are reimbursed.

Camp Caribou is an overnight summer camp located in Winslow, Maine. We offer instruction in a wide variety of land and water sports to children aged 7-15. We are currently seeking athletic coaches and instructors for the upcoming 2026 summer. Throughout the season, staff members will have the opportunity to gain experience working with children, become a head coach of a specific sport, and develop relationships that will last a lifetime!

If you are passionate and enthusiastic about the outdoors, sports, and working with the youth, this will be the best summer internship and job you’ll ever have!

During our two week orientation, staff will have the opportunity to become CPR and First Aid Certified. Staff will also complete multiple workshops on coaching techniques, how to teach and approach children with various learning styles, classroom management, how to live in a group environment, and how to navigate social interactions and dynamics within our camper population. This internship / job is ideal for any students studying sports management, education, physical education, sports science, and counseling, but is open to all majors.

Camp Caribou will give you the opportunity for true leadership experiences and teach an activity you love to do!

Students will be supervised and mentored by area directors who provide routine feedback, special training during our orientation, mid summer and end of season evaluations, and provide requested references.
