Pickleball Coach

Camp Laurel South, among the most prestigious, well-respected camps in the country, is seeking a qualified Pickleball Counselor for the summer of 2026. We offer quality instruction designed to allow children to participate in activities they love, while also allowing them to explore new and exciting opportunities. Your primary goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game of pickleball.

• Develop and implement engaging pickleball drills and activities for campers.
• Provide hands‑on instruction to enhance fundamental skills such as dinking, volleying, serving, and court positioning.

• Assess campers' pickleball abilities and tailor instruction to their skill levels.
• Focus on individual and group skill development, emphasizing proper techniques and strategies for pickleball.

• Organize and oversee friendly pickleball games and competitions.
• Teach campers the rules of the game and instill an understanding of pickleball strategy.

• Ensure a safe and organized pickleball environment.
• Monitor the use and condition of pickleball equipment, reporting any issues and ensuring proper storage.

• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and good sportsmanship in the context of pickleball.
• Encourage a positive atmosphere where campers support each other both on and off the court.

• Be flexible and adaptable to accommodate campers with varying skill levels and learning styles.
• Adjust plans as needed based on camper feedback and progress.

• Previous experience in coaching or playing pickleball preferred.
• Knowledge of pickleball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with campers of different ages and skill levels.

Duration:
We are looking for a two-month commitment June 16th - August 17th. We offer room and board for the time you are working  look forward to hearing from you!
