Position Summary:

Rebel Hotel Company is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead the Sheraton Orlando North in Maitland, Florida. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with a proven track record in full-service hotel operations, financial performance, employee development, and labor relations. Previous experience managing a unionized workforce is required, and Marriott-branded hotel experience is strongly preferred.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the property, including operational excellence, profitability, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and brand compliance. This position provides strategic direction and day-to-day leadership across all hotel departments while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service. The General Manager serves as the primary liaison between property leadership, ownership, Rebel Hotel Company, Marriott, and key business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales, Engineering, and administrative functions, ensuring operational efficiency and exceptional service delivery.
• Maintain full accountability for financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimization, labor productivity, and expense control.
• Lead, coach, and develop department leaders to drive accountability, employee engagement, operational consistency, and high performance.
• Effectively manage a unionized workforce, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, established labor practices, and applicable employment laws.
• Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and labor-related initiatives while maintaining productive labor-management relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability.
• Oversee restaurant, bar, banquet, and catering operations, ensuring product quality, guest satisfaction, cost controls, and strong departmental financial performance.
• Monitor guest feedback, service standards, and Marriott quality assurance results to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including health, safety, and security requirements.
• Oversee property maintenance, capital improvements, and asset preservation initiatives to maintain the hotel's physical condition and long-term value.
• Establish and execute strategic business plans, operational priorities, and performance improvement initiatives aligned with ownership and company objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with ownership, corporate leadership, brand representatives, employees, guests, and key vendors through proactive communication and collaboration.

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager, preferably within a full-service hotel environment.
