Software Tester

Responsibilities

• Participate in discussion with stakeholders, and studying documents such as requirements, designs, and prototypes/mockups to understand of the application to be tested.
• Create detailed test cases, test steps and scenario to ensure all system functionalities are properly tested and clearly understood by the team.
• Participate in confirmation and align testing scenarios with Development team.
• Refine and update testing documentation based on review feedback until it is approved as a testing baseline.
• Execute prepared test cases and testing scenarios, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Perform regression testing after fixes are made to ensure that resolved issues do not affect other functionalities.
• Run automation test scripts developed and released by the Quality Engineer and verify the execution results.
• Identify, record, and report defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) with sufficient detail to help the Development Team understand and fix the issues.
• Prepare testing result documentation and final reports and regularly communicate testing status and progress to supervisor and stakeholders.
• Maintain good collaboration with fellow QC members and other teams, share knowledge, and ensure clear communication to support smooth workflows.
• Contribute to improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Perform other Quality Control tasks as assigned by supervisors and regularly report progress and encountered issues.
• Work closely with Quality Control (Software Tester), software developers, and Product Owners to understand software requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
