, a trusted and expanding Tax & Accounting firm in Malden, MA. We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Preparer to lead client engagements, ensure accuracy, and contribute to our firm’s continued success.
The Senior Tax Preparer will oversee client tax preparation, provide planning and compliance services, and help train junior staff. This role requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex individual and self-employed tax returns.
- Research tax laws, deductions, and credits to maximize client benefits.
- Advise clients on tax-saving opportunities and compliance.
- Review and approve junior staff’s work for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage multiple client engagements and meet filing deadlines.
- Stay updated on federal and state tax law changes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Drake Software Tax.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- CPA or EA certification is a plus.
- Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) required.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
- Commission: 5 to 10% based on performance
