Position: Special Education Teacher (Preschool) - Extended School Year Services (ESY) [Summer 2026]
ESY 2026 - Preschool Special Education Teacher (6 positions total)

(position contingent upon enrollment)

Qualifications (Required):

Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.

Successful teaching experience.

Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.

Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.

Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

Qualifications (Preferred):

Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.

SEI Endorsement.

License in Moderate Special Education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEP’s.

Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.

Keep folders/portfolios with student work.

Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.

Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.

Duration:

Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:
Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6 – August 6 (8:30 a.m.

- 11:30 a.m.).

Stipend: $40 an hour, $3,320 total (20 days/4 hrs + 1 inservice at 3 hours)
