Job Summary: We are looking for a Lab Facilities and Equipment Specialist to join our growing company! The ideal candidate will have an excellent set of hands‑on skills, a safety‑driven mindset with strong background in laboratory equipment maintenance, standard lab equipment techniques and protocols, and the ability to work effectively in highly multi‑disciplinary research areas. Specifically in this role, the candidate will be supporting Alsym Energy’s R&D team working on the next generation of Battery technology.
This position will work to support our research team with responsive delivery of equipment maintenance, workspace management, and responsive execution of troubleshooting. Our goal is a workplace built to optimize conditions for productivity and employee well‑being based on efficiency, safety, and human health.

It is essential for the world to succeed in the transition to sustainable energy and batteries are at the very core of the solution. In fact, the IEA predicts that 60% of CO2 emission reductions in 2030 will be directly related to batteries.
This mission is what drives us every day. Over the last few years, supply‑chain constraints and significant safety incidents arising from lithium‑ion batteries have reduced confidence in the suitability of the technology. Alsym’s advanced sodium ion technology enables the highest performing non‑lithium‑ion battery in the industry, based on its safe, sustainable and long‑lasting energy storage solution.
