Director of Quality & Accreditation – Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital

Tufts Medicine, a leading integrated academic health system in Massachusetts, and Acadia Healthcare, the largest standalone provider of behavioral health services in the U.S., have partnered to create the Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital, a state‑of‑the‑art, 144‑bed facility in Malden, Massachusetts. Slated to open in early 2026, this hospital is designed to address the growing need for high‑quality behavioral health services in the region.

• Lead and monitor day‑to‑day regulatory readiness, patient safety, and service excellence across the facility.
• Oversee the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) program, including data collection, analysis, and reporting to Acadia corporate office.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based quality protocols and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero‑harm and regulatory readiness.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses and lead corrective action plans for serious incidents, patient safety events, and regulatory vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, and other accrediting bodies.
• Chair the monthly Quality Council and present program data and action plans to the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board.
• Serve as a visible, engaged member of the facility leadership team and provide guidance to staff on safety rounds, incident reporting, and culture of safety.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Nursing, or related discipline required;
  Master’s degree in behavioral health, risk discipline, or RN preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a Quality, Clinical, or Process Improvement role required; one or more years of management experience preferred.
• Experience with CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys required.
• Current licensure appropriate for the degree held required.
• CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000
