the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Gage Calibration Technician. Your role will involve testing and calibrating company-owned instruments and equipment to ensure conformance to established standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration and verification of precision measuring instruments and gages used in aerospace manufacturing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and standards in accordance with AS9100, ISO 17025, and OEM specifications.
  • Plan and execute calibration sequences using engineering drawings, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Set up and operate laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, calibrate, and troubleshoot mechanical, dimensional, and electronic measuring tools.
  • Assist quality and engineering teams in diagnosing measurement-related issues and support continuous improvement of calibration processes.
  • Coordinate external calibration and repair services, and manage scheduling and tracking of gages requiring offsite or onsite service.
  • Accurately document calibration results, maintain traceability records, and generate detailed reports for internal audits and management review.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring calibration records and equipment are audit-ready at all times.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a calibration technician, in quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Hands‑on experience with precision measuring tools and a strong understanding of hand gages commonly used in aerospace manufacturing (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic math and computer skills (Windows).
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Experience using Gagetrak and troubleshooting/repairing gages.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with strong problem‑solving abilities.
