We are looking for an experienced and committed Deputy Home Manager (Clinical) to join our care home leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with strong clinical and management experience who wants to combine clinical leadership with the opportunity to play a key role in the overall management and development of a care home.

Working closely with the Home Manager, you will support the effective day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care. You will provide visible clinical leadership, support and develop the nursing and care team, and help ensure that the home consistently meets regulatory and organisational standards.

A key part of this role is that you will undertake one full nursing shift of 12 hour every week. This is an important requirement of the position and is designed to ensure you maintain your clinical competencies, remain actively engaged in clinical practice and, importantly, continue to understand the day-to-day reality of working on the floor alongside the nursing and care team.###

Key Responsibilities As Deputy Home Manager (Clinical), you will:

Support the Home Manager in the overall management and effective operation of the care home.

Assume responsibility for the home in the Home Manager’s absence.

Provide strong, visible clinical leadership and lead by example.

Undertake one full nursing shift every week to maintain clinical competencies and remain connected to frontline care delivery.

Ensure care practices are safe, effective, person-centred and compliant with relevant legislation, regulation and professional standards.

Monitor and review care plans, risk assessments, electronic care records and medication administration systems.

Ensure the safe administration and management of medication in accordance with NMC requirements and company policies.

Support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of residents’ care.

Promote residents’ rights, dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

Identify and manage clinical risks and ensure appropriate action is taken.

Support the management of safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and investigations.

Monitor clinical standards and contribute to audits, inspections and quality improvement plans.

Support the recruitment, induction, supervision, development and performance management of nursing and care staff.

Delegate effectively and ensure staff are appropriately supported and held accountable for their responsibilities.

Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement across the service.

Work collaboratively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, external agencies and other stakeholders.

Support compliance with CQC requirements and Abbey Healthcare audits.

Ensure relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are understood and implemented.

Attend meetings, training and other activities as required.

Participate in on-call duties where required.### About You We are looking for someone who is not only clinically competent but also has the leadership skills, confidence and judgement required to operate effectively as part of the senior management team.### You will beA Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN and up-to-date revalidation.### Experienced in a residential or nursing care environment.### Experienced at Unit Manager, Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager or equivalent level.

Confident in leading and supporting nursing and care teams.### Experienced in care planning, clinical assessment and medication management.
