Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 DOE + two annual bonuses

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (office-based)
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays

Our multi-award-winning client in Maldon is looking for a confident, commercially minded Sales Support Executive to join their close-knit team as they celebrate nearly 30 years of success. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting sales, building strong customer relationships, and contributing directly to business growth. You’ll work closely with the Company Director and play a key role in driving sales across the business.

Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

* Proactively contact existing customers to secure weekly orders

* Promote products and services to maximise sales and order value

* Identify and act on upselling and cross-selling opportunities

* Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships

* Accurately record all sales activity using the company database

* Create invoices and process orders efficiently

* Handle payment conversations professionally and sensitively

* Support cash flow through timely follow-ups on outstanding payments

* Use Excel for sales tracking, reporting, and bookkeeping tasks

* Assist with route planning to ensure efficient delivery schedules

* Support marketing initiatives including email campaigns and flyers

* Contribute ideas for product names, branding, and promotions

* Support social media activity to boost brand awareness and sales

Experience & Requirements

* Previous experience in telephone-based sales (inbound or outbound)

* Experience quoting products or services

* Comfortable using Excel and databases to manage sales information

* Good geographical knowledge of Maldon and surrounding areas

* Bookkeeping experience (desirable but not essential)

* Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
