Pay: £14.50 per hour, rising to £15+ once taken on permanently

Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a successful manufacturing company in the Maldon area. About the Role

You will support the warehouse operation by ensuring the safe, efficient movement and loading of products from production through to dispatch. This is a hands‑on role requiring good communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a busy FMCG environment.

You will work closely with all departments to maintain smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
• Perform pre‑loading vehicle inspections
• Load vehicles safely and without damage
• Communicate effectively with hauliers and line management
• Follow site escalation procedures for non‑compliance or operational issues
• Ensure all personnel follow on‑site HSE processes
• Ensure all dispatched goods have correct documentation
• Maintain high standards of health & safety

Knowledge, Skills &

Experience of the Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

• Previous logistics distribution and supply chain experience
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
• Full UK Driving Licence (as driving forklift across sites)
• FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing experience desirable
• Understanding of HACCP/ISO/COSHH advantageous
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop

Rotating Weekly Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday – 37.5 hrs)

• Week 1: 05:45 – 14:00
• Week 2: 07:30 – 15:45
• Week 3: 08:00 – 16:15
• Week 4: 14:00 – 22:15
