Behavioral Technician - On Call

If you have experience in mental health treatment or other group care environments and the ability to build rapport with adolescents, this position offers you some great opportunities. You will:

• Gain strong experience in a small group environment. We are committed to providing outstanding care and limit the number of clients we serve to no more than six at a time.

• Interact directly with the clients, providing supervision and support. You'll accompany the clients on outings, including picnics beach visits, and a variety of local attractions.

This is a part-time, hourly position working Saturday and Sunday from 1:45pm - 10:15pm. It pays $22 to $25 per hour based on your experience. Additional compensation will be considered for the following:

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Mental health-related certifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
• Good judgment, a positive attitude, dependability and confidentiality
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

This position requires a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards. In addition, you must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check, live scan, physical and TB test to work at the facility.

You will provide rehabilitative support regarding the care of a co-occurring population, ensuring that clients and staff have what they need to follow the lead of the Clinical Director and Program Director. We're well organized and there is always someone to reach out to for support, should you need it. Each shift will include general daily activities (i.e., waking clients, providing hygiene baskets, monitoring from a distance, doing chores, ensuring meds are taken, etc.).

Beachside Teen Treatment Center is a tranquil, rehabilitation haven for adolescents struggling with addiction, substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our beautiful residential facility is based in Malibu, California, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
