Both outpatient and inpatient care Carrying out primary examinations and anamnesis, participating in team rounds in the department for oxygen/ventilator dependent patients and some care for cancer patients Other common tasks are performing pulmonary medical interventions, such as bronchoscopy, EBUS and thoracic drainage. The inpatient care revolves mostly around pulmonary patients Ongoing developmental work in the field of pulmonary medicine The clinic has a county mission, this means that you need to be available for consultation with medical colleagues throughout the county In addition to the above-mentioned assignments, it also includes supervising and mentoring resident doctors

Requirements and skills:

In order to function as a doctor ic, constant collaboration with other staff is required – administrators, medical secretaries, assistant nurses and nurses in both outpatient and inpatient care. Doctors and nursing staff work together during certain patient consults, and they collaborate on clinic-wide issues and improvement work. The infectious diseases and lung clinic is a county clinic with about 120 employees.

We have operations in infectious diseases, lung diseases and a specialised department for adult allergy. The lung section is responsible for the specialised lung and allergy care for adults within the entire region. The section provides comprehensive outpatient care in the clinics facilities. The clinic is well developed and staffed with nurses specialised in allergology, care for patients in need of oxygen and ventilator treatments, and contact nurses for the patients with pulmonary cancer.
