We have an exciting new opportunity for a Swimming Teacher at Places Leisure. You will work in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people, inspiring others to work together. Your passion for teaching, swimming and excellent class programming will help you engage customers and impress them with your expertise.

All of our swimmer development stages are based on the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Swimming Teachers should hold a minimum of UKCC Level 2. A Lifesaving Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC) is advantageous, but we support you in achieving it if you are motivated and driven.

There are many career paths available – from Swimming Teacher to Swimming Co‑ordinator or Contract Swimming Development Manager. In this role you will receive ongoing training and development, including support with NPLQ or NRASTC qualifications and enhancement of customer service skills.

• Passionate about helping people of all ages learn to swim or become stronger, faster, and more confident.
• Work with customers in groups and sometimes one‑to‑one, motivating and instructing them during lessons.
• Friendly, approachable and patient, with the ability to build trust, encourage and motivate students.
• Dedicated to supporting students to achieve their potential, drawing on best practice and effective teaching skills.
• Continuously seek development opportunities and ideas to improve the service we provide.
