An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation in York. Working You will play a key role in supporting the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities within the group.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
Stock accounting and reconciliation
Debtor and creditor reporting
Fixed asset management and accounting
Preparation and monitoring of accruals and prepayments
VAT reporting and submissions
Composite reporting across the group
P11D preparation and administration
Supporting internal and external audit processes
Assisting with ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements

Skills & Experience Required

AAT Level 4 qualification or working towards AAT Level 4 (essential)
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
