An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Kitchen Attendant/Cook to join a large and talented team of chefs in the main production kitchen, who deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
This could be just the right role for you?As a Kitchen Attendant/Cook you will be responsible for assisting chefs with the daily kitchen operation. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Perform food preparation and maintain equipment, utensils and a clean hygienic kitchen
- Rotate stock and minimise wastage
- Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player
- Follow WHS, policies and procedures
- Full availability and flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster including evenings, weekends & public holidays
- Previous kitchen cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar hospitality environment
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and cleaning practices
- Developing knife skills and a genuine passion for food and cooking, positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced professional kitchen environment, with efficiency, organisation and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environment
- Excellent personal presentation
