Job Description

The Breakfast Cook helps with station assignments, maintains place, and prepares hot and cold foods for breakfast according to Food & Beverage department specifications. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions
  • Cooks breakfast foods including eggs and breakfast meats
  • Set up station and mise en place to Chefs specifications
  • May be involved in sauté, grill, and roasting stations
  • Help organize kitchen items including, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and food deliveries
  • Set up, work, and breakdown station
  • Maintain station cleanliness throughout shift
  • Submit production needs for following day by shift end
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of food preparation experience
  • Culinary degree or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of basic cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills to ensure timely preparation and service
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during busy morning hours, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Additional Information Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
