Journeyman Carpenter

Mountain dog Woodworks is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to deliver high-quality woodworking and installation work at our job sites in the Mammoth Lakes, CA.

The Journeyman Carpenter will perform skilled carpentry work with a focus on accuracy, craftsmanship, and reliable jobsite execution. This role supports the build process by reading and interpreting plans, measuring and fitting components, and completing installations to established quality standards.

Working onsite, you will collaborate with team members and coordinate daily tasks to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. You will take pride in producing durable results and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

• Perform journeyman-level construction tasks in all phases of construction.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to complete projects accurately.
• Ensure installations and finishes meet quality and workmanship standards.
• Assist with jobsite organization by maintaining tools and work areas and following safe work practices.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

• Journeyman-level experience in many fields of construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, measurements, and basic specifications.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in remodel work.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively on a construction site.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

• Experience with residential or commercial remodel and installation projects.
• Familiarity with jobsite best practices for quality control and material handling.
• Experience collaborating with a crew to complete projects efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, high-quality work.

Hourly rate: $32.00 as a two week trial period. Wage will move to journeyman based on ability.
