Sekolah Murid Merdeka (SMM) is currently looking for an Islamic Religion Teacher based in Manado.

As an Islamic Religion Teacher, you will be responsible for:

What You Will Do
  • Teach Islamic Religion subjects according to the assigned grade level.
  • Provide regular written feedback and evaluate students’ learning progress and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Level Coordinator to develop lesson plans and teaching materials.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the freelance teaching team at the assigned level.
  • Attend meetings related to teaching responsibilities at SMM.
  • Check and respond to Tanya Mu, Telegram messages, and emails daily from parents or the SMM team.
  • Participate actively in SMM extracurricular activities such as field trips, playdates, expressive classes, art exhibitions, and other school events.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials as directed by the Level Coordinator.
  • Complete teacher administrative tasks as assigned by the Level Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in Islamic Education or a related field.
  • Have 1–2 years of teaching experience in both online and offline learning environments, either in schools or educational institutions.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching students from early childhood to high school level and creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Be creative in developing learning materials, activities, and presentations suitable for students.
  • Be proficient in using various educational applications and learning platforms.
  • Have a good understanding of child and adolescent development across early childhood to high school levels.
  • Be able to work collaboratively in both large and small teams.
  • Possess strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Be capable of observing and assessing student progress.
  • Be disciplined in meeting timelines and deadlines.
  • Show commitment, responsibility, and professionalism within the team.
