Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site Accountant role based in Manama. The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with inventory‑related financial records specific to jewelry products. The role also involves preparing periodic financial reports, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant financial regulations.
The Accountant will collaborate with management and other departments to provide financial insights, support budgeting processes, and assist with audits as needed.
- Strong foundation in general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, pivot tables, and basic data analysis).
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash handling in a retail or product‑based environment.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity when handling financial and customer‑related information.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in retail, luxury goods, or jewelry accounting is preferred but not required.
