• Prepare management reports, including monthly actual vs. budget analysis and sales forecast reports.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings within required statutory deadlines.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards, with focus on IFRS 17.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required audit support.
• Supervise junior accountants, review their work, and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including:
• Accruals
• Prepayments
• Depreciation
• Accounting adjustments
• Prepare and review journal entries for branches and agencies.
• Perform reconciliations for:
• Banks
• Clients
• Insurance companies
• Workshops
• Suppliers
• Interbranch and intercompany accounts
• Review supporting documents related to claims, payments, refunds, and supplier transactions.
• Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, and accounting records.
• Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
• Prepare monthly employee deduction vouchers.
• Manage bank and supplier confirmations periodically.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Additional professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IFRS financial reporting
• IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts
• Insurance accounting standards
• Regulatory reporting requirements
• Experience in financial statement preparation and audit coordination.
