JOB SUMMARYEvaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, project controls, and governance specific to heavy maritime repair, conversion, and engineering operations, plans and leads risk-based operational, financial, and compliance audits. Key duties include evaluating dry-docking project controls, managing shipyard safety and environmental standards, and assessing subcontractor management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Risk Management & Controls:
Develop the annual internal audit plan, test internal financial controls, and track corrective actions - HSE & Compliance Oversight:
Assess adherence to marine environmental regulations, ISO standards, and shipyard safety protocols - Subcontractor & Procurement Review:
Audit vendor selection, third-party contractor performance, and purchasing workflows for specialized marine equipment - Project & Operations Auditing:
Review ship repair project estimating, contract variations, milestone billings, and material usage/scrap management. - Audit Execution:
Lead end-to-end audit engagements, from annual planning and fieldwork to detailed reporting for senior management and the Board Audit Committee. - Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
Identify operational, financial, and safety vulnerabilities across fleet management, offshore construction, or logistics. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of risk-based auditing, data analytics tools, and technical report writing
