Senior Quantity Surveyor

MSCEB is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team. The successful candidate will manage the contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring effective cost control throughout the pre- and post-contract stages.

• Prepare and review cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and pre-tender estimates.
• Prepare and review tender documents, addenda, tender evaluations and reports.
• Support fee proposals, contract negotiations and contract documentation.
• Review interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project teams and site personnel.
• Liaise with the Director of Contracts and Construction Administration team on contractual matters.
• Supervise and support Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors.
• Ensure the accuracy, quality and confidentiality of all commercial and contractual information.
• Represent MSCEB at project meetings when required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered accreditation or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience
  , including at least 5 years in a similar senior role
  .
• Strong experience within the construction industry, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, pricing, material rates and market trends.
• Proven experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work independently and support junior team members.
