Role Description The Orthodontist (Faculty) is a full-time, on-site role based in Manama, responsible for delivering high-quality orthodontic education and clinical instruction to learners at various levels. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in orthodontics and related dental disciplines, as well as supervising clinical training and case discussions. The role involves assessing learner performance, providing constructive feedback, and participating in curriculum development to ensure programs remain aligned with international standards and local regulatory requirements.
The Orthodontist (Faculty) also collaborates with other faculty members on academic initiatives, contributes to quality assurance processes, and supports professional development activities for learners and staff.
Qualifications
- Solid academic and clinical foundation in Dentistry, with proven ability to integrate these disciplines into teaching and practice.
- Advanced expertise in Orthodontics, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and application of contemporary orthodontic techniques.
- Demonstrated skills in Treatment and Dental Care, ensuring safe, ethical, and evidence-based clinical supervision and patient management.
- Recognized dental degree with specialization in Orthodontics (e.g., Master’s or Board certification), and current professional registration/licensure as required in Bahrain.
- Experience in academic or clinical teaching, including curriculum delivery, learner assessment, and mentoring in a healthcare education setting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to teach diverse learner groups and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, adherence to regulatory standards, and participation in accreditation and quality assurance activities.
