Lead Designer

Night Shade Design is looking for a Lead Interior Designer to guide the creative and technical direction of our design projects.

This role is for someone who can take a project from client brief to concept, presentation, material direction, detailed coordination, and site execution support. The Lead Designer will be responsible for leading the design team, reviewing work, managing client expectations, and ensuring that every project is delivered with clarity, quality, and strong design intent.

The ideal candidate should be confident in both creative design and project coordination, with the ability to make design decisions, solve problems, and lead a team in a fast-paced studio environment.

• Lead the design direction for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
• Develop concepts, mood boards, layouts, material palettes, and design presentations.
• Guide and review the work of interior designers and drafting team.
• Prepare and review client proposals, presentations, and design packages.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and site teams.
• Review drawings, details, finishes, furniture, lighting, and material selections.
• Support budgeting, procurement coordination, and value engineering when required.
• Attend client meetings and site visits when needed.
• Ensure all design work is aligned with the project brief, budget, timeline, and execution requirements.
• Maintain design quality across all stages of the project.

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong design sense with a good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.
• Experience leading interior design projects from concept to delivery.
• Ability to manage a team and review design/drawing output.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D visualization tools, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar.
• Good understanding of site execution and coordination.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

• Experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Knowledge of FF&E, procurement, and supplier coordination.
• Experience working with clients in Bahrain or Saudi Arabia.
