Librarian

We are in search of a Female Librarian to join our team at our library located in Manama Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. As a female librarian you will be responsible for managing the library's resources and providing assistance to library patrons.

• Manage and organize library materials including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials and electronic resources.
• Assist patrons in finding and accessing materials.
• Develop and maintain library collections.
• Create displays and promote library resources to increase usage.
• Plan and conduct events, workshops and other programs to engage the community.
• Assist with cataloging and classifying materials.
• Train staff members on library procedures and policies.
• Ensure that the library is clean, organized and properly maintained.
• Handle any issues or concerns from patrons in a professional manner.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of library systems and procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic resources such as databases and e-books.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Fluent in English;
  Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Must be a female candidate.
