IB Physics Teacher – Starting August 2026

Are you an experienced Physics educator looking to teach in one of Bahrain’s most prestigious international schools? American Creativity Academy Bahrain (ACA‑BH) is seeking a passionate and qualified IB Physics Teacher to deliver outstanding lessons across our Middle and High School programmes, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). We are looking for someone who brings deep subject knowledge, inspires curiosity about the physical world, and prepares students to excel in IB examinations and beyond.

  • International Medical Insurance:
    Provided for teacher and up to 2 dependents (spouse and/or children).
  • Settling‑in Allowance: BD250 – first contract year only.
  • Excess Baggage: BD130 – first contract year only.
  • Visa Expenses: BD125 reimbursed for staff landing in Bahrain with a completed work visa obtained overseas.
  • Tuition Discount: 50% tuition discount for up to 2 children of overseas teaching staff enrolled at ACA‑BH.
  • Bereavement Leave:
    Up to 3 calendar days for immediate family + airline ticket provided for overseas staff.
  • Maternity Leave: 60 calendar days paid from date of delivery.
  • Personal Leave: 2 days per contract year.
  • End‑of‑Service Gratuity:
    Provided in accordance with Bahrain Labor Law.
  • Contract Length: 2 years (renewable).
Responsibilities
  • Teach IB Physics (SL and HL) across Middle and High School, delivering challenging and inquiry‑led lessons.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well‑structured lessons fully aligned to the IB Diploma Programme Physics curriculum and syllabus.
  • Design and conduct practical laboratory investigations that develop students’ experimental and scientific reasoning skills.
  • Prepare students effectively for IB internal assessments (IA) and final IBDP examinations.
  • Set, mark, and return assessments promptly, providing detailed and constructive feedback to students.
  • Track and monitor student performance, identifying those requiring additional support or extension opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of the Physics curriculum at ACA‑BH.
  • Participate in parent conferences, grade‑level meetings, staff meetings, and faculty committees as required.
  • Sponsor at least one school club or extracurricular activity per year (minimum8 hours).
  • Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and during breaks and dismissal.
  • Maintain accurate records of student academic and behavioral progress and report to the Principal as required.
  • Promote ACA Bahrain positively at all times and uphold the school’s values, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching license or certification (US or Canadian qualification preferred).
  • IB Diploma Programme Physics teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of theoretical and practical Physics at secondary and post‑16 level.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Native or near‑native English speaker.
  • Ability to design and deliver inquiry‑based and practical‑focused Physics lessons.
  • Clear criminal record; ability to obtain a Bahrain work visa.
