Part-Time Librarian

Our library in Manama is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and organizing educational programs and events.

• Manage the library's collection by cataloging, classifying, and maintaining an accurate inventory
• Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, using both traditional and digital resources
• Organize and promote educational programs and events for all ages, such as book clubs, workshops, and author visits
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop new programs and services that meet the needs of our community
• Ensure that the library is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in library science to provide innovative services to our patrons

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Strong knowledge of library systems and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiarity with digital resources and technology
• Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred
• Biometric passport or ability to obtain one

Salary: $1500 per month (pro-rated for part-time hours)
