Power Generation Technician
Job Description
The Power Generator Technician is responsible for testing, proper operation and repair of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of technical assistance (TA). The Technician participates in inspection and repair of the MEIs, advises on preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), and provides advisory duties for maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and testing of diesel generators (15kw/400
Hz, 30kw/400
Hz, and 150kw/400
Hz). Responsibilities include installation of generator sets and power frequency converters, interfacing with manufacturers, performing PMCS, troubleshooting and repairing generators that support the Patriot system, coordinating PMCS and repair activities with the Lead, and creating 2404s and entering non-conformance into the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul system (iMRO).
Position located in Manama, Bahrain.
Qualifications We Prefer- Graduate of the US Army Mast and Electric Power Plant Maintenance (ASI C9) course and the US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D or 91D) Course, or graduate of a technical school or manufacturer’s course on diesel power generation equipment.
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly, and checkout of power generation equipment.
- Minimum two years of experience in repair and refurbishment of generators with knowledge of 15kw/400
Hz, 30kw/400
Hz, and 150kw/400
Hz diesel generators. - Basic knowledge and experience with organizational and intermediate electrical troubleshooting techniques of diesel generators.
- Knowledge of safe work practices for operation and sustainment of electrical power generation equipment.
- Experience with operation and maintenance procedures on frequency converters.
- Ability to establish maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, personnel, and mission requirements.
- Ability to establish internal administrative procedures to procure, store, and issue publications, tools, parts, and POL, and to manage maintenance float items for equipment that cannot be repaired within prescribed time limits.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme desert heat environments;
Secret Security Clearance required.
- Bachelor’s Degree with four years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with eight years of related experience, or HS Diploma/GED with twelve years of related experience.

Salary RangeThe salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
