As a Senior Planner, shall be responsible for leading a group of planning engineers and overseeing the progression of an assigned project/’s in accordance with the approved budget, schedule requirements, and Fabrication, quality & HSE requirements.
REPORTING TO:
Project Controls Manager/Lead Planner
Minimum Qualifications- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Proficient in Primavera and/or other planning software, MS Office applications, and usage of drafting / modeling software for review purposetools.
- Strong knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory and/or management experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project planning within construction, oil and gas, power, mining, or related industries.
- Review Client-issued tender documents, including scope of responsibility and project specifications, to ensure full understanding of contractual and technical requirements.
- Develop planning package in accordance with project requirements
- Analyze and validate project schedules in accordance with organizational capabilities and project requirements, ensuring compliance with the approved project schedule.
- Supervise and guide planning and scheduling engineers; delegate work activities effectively to achieve required productivity and performance targets.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of project progress reports, recovery schedules, and other required planning and scheduling deliverables.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project work plans for assigned projects, including the preparation, monitoring, and updating of detailed project schedules.
- Review and verify schedules, charts, and graphical reports reflecting planning, engineering, design, and construction activities.
- Recommend appropriate project delivery methodologies and implement schedule improvement and recovery programs in line with approved project parameters and controls.
- Provide regular project progress updates and planning reports to the Project Management & Planning Head and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identify project risks, potential issues, variations, and change impacts, and initiate timely mitigation measures and resolution actions.
- Coordinate and follow-up closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and other functional departments to obtain required inputs, deliverables, and planning support.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
- Prepare departmental procedures and documents.
- Development of Project Risk Analysis.
