Employment: Full Time

The Naval Architect is responsible for the design, development, and analysis of marine vessels and structures. This role involves applying engineering principles to ensure vessels are safe, efficient, and meet regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, creativity in design, and a thorough understanding of marine engineering principles.

Key Business Factors
  • Design Innovation:
    Developing cutting‑edge designs that improve vessel performance and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensuring all designs meet industry regulations and standards for safety and performance.
  • Project Management:
    Overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaboration:

    Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze marine vessels, including hulls, structures, and systems, using computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
  • Conduct stability, strength, and performance assessments to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects.
  • Oversee the construction and testing of vessels, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct research and development to innovate and improve existing designs and technologies.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to naval architecture.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and updates on project status.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Design Quality:
    Number of designs approved without major revisions or modifications.
  • Project Timeliness:
    Percentage of projects completed on schedule.
  • Regulatory Compliance Rate:
    Number of designs passing inspections and meeting regulatory standards.
  • Client Satisfaction Score:
    Feedback from clients regarding design solutions and collaboration.
  • Innovation Metrics:
    Number of new designs or improvements introduced within a specific period.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Rhino and orca 3D
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in naval architecture or marine engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
