Position: Graduate - Civil Engineer (Bahraini National) at AECOM

Job Description

Graduate – Civil Engineer (Bahraini National) at AECOM in Manama, B13, BH. Full‑time on‑site position. The role is part of the 24‑month ADVANCE program designed to transition graduates into professional practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models for the specific discipline.
  • Work on drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Assist with design content by applying technical knowledge to deliver high‑quality outputs within project timelines.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed‑upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Collect and analyze information from discipline‑specific and interdisciplinary BIM models when required.
  • Use computer software to solve fundamental engineering problems.
  • Coordinate with other discipline engineers to ensure continuity of the design process.
  • Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
  • Check and ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.
  • Seek information, seek opportunities to contribute, and develop efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Contribute by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Coastal or Maritime Engineering (Master’s preferred) from an accredited university.
  • Minimum academic background in coastal processes, design of marine structures such as concrete quay walls, jetties, beaches, and armoured shore protection structures.
  • Bahraini national.
  • Recent graduate (within the last 24 months, not earlier than September 2024).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Master’s degree must have commenced within 12 months of completing the bachelor’s degree.
  • Not eligible if possessing more than one year of postgraduate work experience.
Additional Information
  • Onboarding:
    August – September 2026.
  • Program kickoff and orientation:
    October 2026 (including induction and meet‑and‑greet for the entire graduate cohort).
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.
