Environmental Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental management programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives across our operations. The successful candidate will oversee environmental risk management, environmental impact assessments, waste management, pollution prevention, and ESG initiatives while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in environmental management, sustainability, environmental compliance, HSE, ESG, and corporate environmental governance.

• Develop and implement environmental management strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and international standards
• Lead environmental impact assessments (EIA), environmental audits, and compliance inspections
• Develop programs for waste management, pollution prevention, recycling, water conservation, and resource efficiency
• Monitor air emissions, wastewater, hazardous materials, noise, and environmental performance indicators
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with HSE, operations, engineering, facilities, and project teams to integrate environmental best practices
• Manage environmental incidents, investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting
  
  Lead ESG and sustainability reporting, including environmental performance metrics
• Deliver environmental awareness training and promote a culture of sustainability
• Manage environmental consultants, contractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies
• Prepare executive reports, environmental dashboards, and strategic recommendations

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Ecology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• 5–10+ years of experience in environmental management, environmental compliance, sustainability, HSE, or ESG
• Proven experience managing environmental programs in manufacturing, construction, energy, utilities, industrial operations, infrastructure, or related sectors
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and environmental permitting
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory relationships
• Ability to balance office-based planning with field inspections and site visits in a hybrid working environment

• Master's degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA)
• Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, IEMA, CSP, PMP, or equivalent
• Experience using environmental data management and reporting platforms such as Enablon, Intelex, Sphera Cloud, Microsoft Power BI, or similar enterprise solutions
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, carbon accounting, climate risk, biodiversity, circular economy, and sustainable development
• Experience supporting renewable energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, mining, or government environmental projects
• Fluency in English is required;
  Arabic and additional languages are highly desirable
