A well-established organization is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements within the Finance function.
Key Responsibilities- Record and process daily financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and follow‑up.
- Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor cash movements, petty cash, and support cash flow tracking.
- Assist in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure fixed asset records and depreciation calculations are accurate and up to date.
- Support adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with accounting software and exposure to ERP systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
