Job Overview

This is a senior regulatory leadership role with direct accountability for regulatory integrity, compliance architecture, and legal governance of AX Coin. The Head of Risk, Compliance & Legal will own all regulatory engagement, licensing, compliance frameworks, and enterprise risk management. This role is critical to ensuring AX Coin operates at the highest regulatory standards, with strong, transparent relationships with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and other regulatory stakeholders.

• Regulatory strategy and regulator relationship management.
• AML/CFT and financial crime framework ownership.
• Licensing, governance, and regulatory reporting.
• Enterprise risk management and controls.
• Legal oversight and policy governance.
• Audit, inspection, and remediation leadership

• Own and lead all regulatory engagement with the Central Bank of Bahrain and relevant authorities.
• Manage licensing applications, regulatory approvals, and ongoing supervisory correspondence.
• Design, implement, and maintain AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC, and transaction monitoring frameworks.
• Draft, govern, and maintain all compliance, risk, and governance policies.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, audits, inspections, and remediation programs.
• Advise product, technology, operations, and leadership teams on regulatory interpretation.
• Embed compliance-by-design into stablecoin issuance, payments, custody, and settlement flows.
• Build and lead a strong compliance culture across the organization.
• Own the enterprise risk management framework covering:
• Regulatory risk;
• Operational risk;
• Financial crime risk;
• Security and technology risk.

• 8–15+ years in compliance, legal, or risk roles within banking, fintech, payments, or digital assets.
• Strong regulator-facing experience, ideally within Bahrain or broader GCC markets.
• Deep expertise in AML/CFT, sanctions, and financial crime compliance.
• Experience operating in regulated financial or digital asset environments.
• International exposure and professional qualifications highly desirable.
• Strong judgment, leadership presence, and stakeholder communication skills

• Shape the regulatory foundation of a next-generation stablecoin platform.
• Act as the primary regulatory authority interface for AX Coin EMEA.
• High-impact leadership role with executive visibility.
• Build compliance frameworks for real-world, regulated stablecoin adoption.
