Role Overview:
As a Crypto & Payment Operations Associate, you will handle daily cross-border fiat remittances, crypto settlements, and account reconciliations. You will process SWIFT/ISO 20022 payments, execute on-chain transfers, resolve transaction exceptions, and ensure strict compliance with AML and Travel Rule standards.
Key Responsibilities:Fiat Payment Operations
- Process end-to-end cross-border remittances and handle payment inquiries, amendments, and cancellations.
- Format and process SWIFT MT messages (MT199, MT192) and ISO 20022 messages (pacs.
008, pacs.
004, pacs.
002). - Handle outgoing and incoming payment exceptions based on SOP
- Liaise with correspondent banks and payment partners to resolve Nostro breaks and payment delays.
- Process daily OTC on-ramp and off-ramp transactions, ensuring seamless conversion and settlement between fiat currencies and digital assets.
- Execute daily on-chain token transactions across major blockchain networks.
- Perform buy/sell trade settlement with LP.
- Execute liquidity management based on Treasury instructions.
- Conduct daily wallet operations using institutional wallet infrastructure platforms following strict approval matrices.
- Ensure full reconciliation of assets by performing daily double-entry reconciliations across Nostro accounts, LP balances, exchange accounts, and internal wallet ledgers.
- Execute Travel Rule screening (e.g., Notabene, GTR) and monitor incoming/outgoing crypto transfers for risk alerts.
- Log operational exceptions, track inquiry resolution times, and adhere to internal SOPs and SLAs.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of operational experience in bank payment processing, cross-border remittances, or fintech/crypto operations.
- Technical Proficiency:
Basic understanding of SWIFT MT/ISO 20022 payment messaging and Nostro reconciliation and Hands-on familiarity with crypto wallets, stable coins, and basic blockchain concepts. - Basic understanding of AML, KYC, Sanctions screening, and Travel Rule requirements.
- Familiar with utilizing block explorers (Etherscan, Solscan, etc.) for transaction investigations.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate under strict daily cutoff times.
