Job Description
- Answer the telephone in line with Raffles’ brand standards and telephone etiquette guidelines.
- Monitor Message Box task completion for the butler team.
- Execute all mise‑en‑place duties and responsibilities on time, according to predetermined standards.
- Set up and prepare private dining condiments, utensils, and trays in accordance with departmental standards.
- Adhere to the guest recognition program by familiarising oneself with in‑house guest names and greeting guests by name.
- Present food and beverages in a manner that maintains departmental standards and maximises guest satisfaction.
- Seek feedback on food and beverage satisfaction and service directly from guests.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, drinks list, and wine list to respond to guest inquiries and upsell appropriate items.
- Ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded by providing efficient, friendly, and attentive service.
- Know all arrival lists in advance (7 days prior or upon booking if less than 7 days) and guest profiles, including companions’ preferences submitted by the butlers.
- Curate experiences, including hotel and city activities, bespoke services, and rituals personalised as per guest preferences.
- Follow‑up on guests’ activities to ensure service delivery.
- Track and monitor services performed by other operational departments, ensuring butlers follow through with scheduled requests (turndown, maintenance, F&B).
Qualifications
- Positive personality with excellent eye for detail capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to guest engagement.
- Commitment to meet and exceed all performance standards.
- Continuous desire to develop professional skills and abilities.
- Adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work in a multicultural workforce.
- High integrity, promptness, creativity, enthusiasm, dedication, time management, teamwork, flexibility, and support for continuous improvement.
- Good knowledge of the entire Housekeeping Operations.
- Knowledge of Opera Property Management System preferred.
- Curiosity, listening skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Fluency in English.
